Volunteers In Partnership (VIPs) Continue to Make a Difference in the Laughlin Community
The Volunteers In Partnership (VIPs), a dedicated subcommittee of the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce, was founded in 2005 by a group of eight community members eager to contribute to local causes. Their commitment to supporting the Chamber and the Laughlin Tourism Commission has earned them the title of “VIPs,” as they work together to benefit the growth of both the local community and tourism.
From the outset, the VIPs have played an essential role in organizing and assisting with major events such as the Bull Riding Championships, Rodeos, off-road racing events with Southern California Off Road Enthusiasts (S.C.O.R.E.) and Southern Nevada Off Road Enthusiasts (S.N.O.R.E.), the Laughlin River Run (now Mayhem, in Bullhead City), and more. Initially, their involvement included tasks such as selling beer at events, with tips supporting their “donation fund” for local charities.
Through their continued efforts, the VIPs have raised over $100,000 to support local charities, schools, and youth groups in the Colorado River region. All funds raised are donated to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations (excluding operational costs).
