As a 20-year resident in the area, I’ve witnessed firsthand the growth and evolution of our community, and I’m deeply committed to its continued success. This annual competition offers the opportunity for singers to advance to the National Level and showcase their talent to the public in a showroom setting. The competition categories are Male Pop/Rock/R&B; Female Pop/Rock/R&B; Male Country/Western; Female Country/Western; Male Age 50 & Over; and Female Age 50 & Over.

The local level competition begins each year in February and runs over several weeks throughout the end of June in local night clubs, casinos and other venues. The top winners in each category of the local level contest advance to the regional level contest. The top winners of each regional competition then advance on to the National Finals. Although the term "National" is used, the competition continuously attracts contestants from other countries around the world. This week-long event at the Tropicana Laughlin and River Palms will host contestants from around the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and other countries for the Talent Quest Title.

The panel of judges are all professionals and come from many different aspects of the arts and entertainment world, such as vocal coaches, singers, writers and artists. Contestants will be judged on vocal performance as well as appearance and stage presence.

While the majority of the competition will take place at the Tropicana Laughlin in the Pavilion Theater, the River Palms will also play host to several preliminary rounds and semi-finals.
