Upcoming MCC virtual Q & A sessions will show that anyone can become a college student, get on path to a great career

MOHAVE COUNTY – A college degree or skills certificate helps a person earn more money, and is a step on the path to a more financially secure future for themselves and their families.

Market research shows, over the course of their life, a Mohave Community College graduate earns approximately $750,000 more than a Mohave County resident who only has a high school diploma.

To help the public see how easy it can be to get started at the college, MCC will hold online question and answer sessions via Zoom videoconferencing.  Anyone with a computer or mobile device and internet service can take part in the sessions.  Those without internet, can use the free wireless connection accessible from any MCC campus parking lot.  You can also watch the sessions live on the college Facebook page at Facebook.com/Mohavecc.

MCC admissions specialists will show you the admissions process and answer questions about attending the college. Attendees will also hear from MCC President Stacy Klippenstein as he explains how college classes will be conducted during the pandemic, and why now is a great time to sign up for classes.

“We don’t intend for these to be long sessions, we want people to get the information they came for, and also be respectful of their time,” said Renee Corey, MCC Student Services Office Manager.

MCC’s tuition and fees are among the most affordable in the state of Arizona.  Students also have multiple options to pay for tuition and fees.  Everyone is encouraged to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, because they may find out they qualify for a Pell Grant, which may cover all or some of their tuition, fees and living expenses.  MCC also has a Foundation that raises scholarship money to help Mohave County residents pay for college.

People in the Mohave County region are encouraged to attend one of nine college admissions sessions.  They take place three times each week over the next three weeks - once each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Times and dates are below:
