Donated Items Accepted Through Early November….
TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR RIVER FUND’S FIRST SOLO SIGNATURE CHARITY EVENT

LAUGHLIN – Donated vacation packages, artwork, fine dining, spa services, numerous gift certificates, electronics and even a helicopter scenic tour are among the items up for bid at next month’s silent auction and wine tasting benefiting River Fund, the locally-based emergency services organization serving the Tri-State area.  The November 17 event will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Nevada time (2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Arizona time) in the Pavilion Theatre at the Tropicana Laughlin.
For nine years, it was the signature fundraising event for Silver Rider and the Southern Nevada Transit Coalition.  After a one year hiatus, it was brought back by popular demand as a joint fundraiser in 2017 with the intent of transitioning solely to River Fund this year.
“This is a mix of an old event being held for the first time,” said Mike Conner, River Fund’s executive director.  “It is also a perfect shopping opportunity for the holidays!”
River Fund will use the proceeds to help local residents and employees with emergency services including utility assistance, crisis housing and urgent transportation needs. Previous wine tasting/silent auction events have attracted not just local attendees but also Laughlin visitors and, occasionally, entertainers performing in one of the showrooms.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  Tables of ten are available for $200.  Three cash drawings of $200, $300 and $500 will be awarded.  Donated items for both the silent auction and a special live auction will be accepted through November 9.
Tickets are available at River Fund’s Laughlin office, and at the KLBC-TV2 studios in Laughlin.   Additional information is available at 702-298-0611.
Now in its ninth year, River Fund has provided $2.1 million in assistance to nearly 11,100 households and 135 program grants impacting almost 50,000 people in Bullhead City, Laughlin, Ft. Mohave, Mohave Valley, Topock/Golden Shores and the surrounding area.
Major sponsors for the River Fund Wine and Cheese Charity Auction are the BHHS Legacy Foundation, TV2 and the Tropicana Laughlin.
