REMINDER: All UI/PUA Services Available Conveniently Online

CARSON CITY, NV – The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) reminds all media and public there are no in-person services for unemployment insurance (UI) or Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). Prior to the nation-wide pandemic closures, all unemployment help was available via phone or online, and DETR will continue to provide services in this format.

All services for UI are available online at UI.NV.gov or by calling the telephone claim center.  Northern UI call center (775) 684-0350, southern UI call center (702) 486-0350, rural areas and out-of-state, (888) 890-8211 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. Callers are encouraged to contact the call centers mid-week, Wednesday through Friday after 10 a.m., as Mondays and Tuesdays are the busiest days for the call centers.

All PUA services are available online at EmployNV.gov or by calling the telephone claim center, (800) 603-9681, or (775) 298-6007 or (702) 998-3081 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. Claimants are encouraged to call Wednesday through Friday after 10 a.m., as Mondays and Tuesdays are the busiest days for the call center.
As a reminder, all extended unemployment benefits have expired. This includes Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC), Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), and State Extended Benefits (SEB). Claimants will need to refer to the regular UI base period model here to determine any benefit eligibility. Benefits are based on the claimant’s wages reported by their employers during the base period. To learn more about the base period and how weekly UI benefits are calculated, please see the claimant handbook found at this link. Additionally, helpful videos are found at UI.nv.gov under the Claimant tab.
