RE: Proposed Changes to Water Rates
The Big Bend Water District (BBWD) is responsible for delivering drinking water supplies Laughlin’s residents and businesses. Over the past decade, more than $7.5 million has been invested into the water system through pipeline replacements, treatment plant optimization and other improvements required to maintain a reliable water system. For the most part, reserves paid for these projects, which were built up from a period of consecutive rate increases from 2003 to 2006.
