PRESCHOOL OPENINGS AVAILABLE AT DIAMONDBACK ELEMENTARY
FOR REMAINDER OF 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

BULLHEAD CITY – The award-winning preschool program in the Bullhead City Elementary School District has openings at Diamondback Elementary School.  Children who were four years old by September 1 of this year are eligible.  Families must live within the Bullhead City limits or unincorporated areas served by BCESD such as Katherine Heights.
“This is a great opportunity for children to start their education early and be acclimated to school when they’re ready to begin kindergarten,” said BCESD preschool coordinator Tammy Alvarez.  “Our program is unique because we offer a structured program where we are working, learning and playing together.”  Meals are included, and children engage in play as part of their curriculum.
Fees are income-based, and may be covered completely by Title I federal grants.  Those who exceed income requirements may enroll preschoolers as self-pay or community-pay students at rates competitive with other preschools.
Since the preschool program at Diamondback, located near N. Oatman Road and the Bullhead Parkway, doesn’t have school bus service, parents or guardians are responsible for transportation.
Applications are available during normal business hours in the main preschool office at Coyote Canyon School, 1820 Lakeside Drive.  Parents should have proof of residency within the school district, among other documents.  For income-based eligibility, parents must also provide a child’s birth certificate and immunization record, the previous year’s federal tax return, a letter from the Department of Economic Security, and current pay stubs for employed members of the household.
Additional information is also available at 928-758-3916, ext. 1065.
