Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft to Host Back-to-School
Health and Wellness Fairs in Laughlin and Searchlight

Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft will host free Health and Wellness Fairs in Searchlight and Laughlin. Community members can visit the Bennett Elementary school located at 1450 Spirit Lane in Laughlin on August 9th from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and the Searchlight Community Center located at 200 Michael Wendell Way in Searchlight on August 9th from 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Some of the resources available include booster seats, child passenger safety, CPR demonstrations, blood pressure screenings, free backpacks (while supplies last) and dental screenings.
“I am pleased to celebrate the opening of Bennett Elementary School with our Back-To-School Health and Wellness Fair,” said Commissioner Naft. “The event will bring together important services and resources for all ages under one roof. I look forward to delivering these important services to Laughlin residents ahead of the new school year.”
The dental screenings are in partnership with Healthy Together, a County-sponsored program, and Access Health Dental. This program covers the cost of medical necessary dental care for uninsured or under insured. The mobile unit is equipped with state-of-the-art dental equipment and the dental team can provide the same level of care as a dental office. Appointments to address treatment needs will occur between 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. the same day.
"We are thrilled to join hands with the Clark County Healthy Together program in their endeavor to serve our community” said Dr. Chad Gubler, Access Health Dental. “Oral health is integral to overall well-being, and through this event, we aim to educate individuals and serve their dental needs for healthier smiles and lives. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in promoting dental wellness across our community."
