New Teen Center Opens in Bullhead City
Morning Mixer on March 5th to Introduce Teen Center to the Public
Bullhead AZ. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado is inviting the public to view their new Club River Teen Center. The Teen Center entrance is located inside the Boys & Girls Club Thrift Store at 967 Hancock Rd. Suite 7. Please join the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce at the Morning Mixer on March 5th to see the amazing space and meet the team! Coffee and light breakfast snacks will be provided. The Mixer starts at 7:30am and will conclude at 9am.The Club River Teen Center opened its doors February 8th and serves teens 6th grade to 12th grade. The Club opened to provide the teens with their own space to offer board games, active games (ping pong, foosball, air hockey etc.), video games, arts & crafts, fun science experiments and a large movie theater area.
More than just entertainment, the teen center will provide life, character, leadership, health, emotional, social, and tech skills. Our members will also have the opportunity to develop work skills and gain work experience at our thrift store. Members will be able to participate in many clubs and groups that will improve the likelihood that they will graduate high school and attend college. Club River Teen Center will provide programs to help teens explore possible vocations, prepare them for college, and assist them their current homework.
For teens 13 and up the only fee required is the $10 membership fee. Students who are under 13 are required to pay the standard Club rates.
“Having a specific teen program in Bullhead has been a goal of mine since starting at the club as a staff. Of course, we’re offering fantastic programs, but most importantly we are creating a positive environment for young adults. This teen center is going to go far and I hope everyone is ready for it.” Said Bree Gonzalez Director of Operation for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River.
Club River Teen Center is located at 967 Hancock Road Ste. 7, Bullhead City AZ, 86442.
Open Monday through Thursday after school to 7:00pm, and Fridays 7:30am to 7:00pm.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most to realize their full potential as productive caring and responsible citizens. The Club has four locations; 2250 Highland Rd, Bullhead City AZ 86442, and 1975 Arie Avenue, Laughlin NV 89029, and 5593 Hwy 95, Suite 7, Fort Mohave 86426 and Teen Center 967 Hancock Rd. Suite 7, Bullhead AZ. The clubs provide after-school programs and summer day camp to over 1,400 students annually.
