NERC Trains NAACP Staff for Clients Dealing with Trauma

LAS VEGAS, NV —Earlier this morning, the Nevada Equal Rights Commission (NERC) concluded two days of training for the Las Vegas and Reno Chapters of the NAACP providing additional insights into trauma-informed investigations.
“We are pleased to present this specialized training particularly now” said Kara Jenkins, Administrator for the Commission. “Working to assist NAACP’s legal redress team with our insights will assist in their own mission to prevent discrimination.”
One of NERC’s goals is preventing discrimination in the state, and education is an integral component of this mission.  NERC training is free and can be tailored to highlight specific areas needed by employers or community organizations.  NERC boasts top trained experts in Equal Employment Opportunity training within the state.
Featured speakers at this training included  Kara Jenkins, Administrator for the Nevada Equal Rights Commission and Lila Vizcarra, NERC Chief Compliance Investigator & Outreach Specialist.
