NEEDLES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE KICKS OFF CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
In 1920, Needles California was a bustling, growing economy and the local leaders decided it was time to form a Chamber of Commerce. The Needles Chamber has been in business ever since! For over 100 years, the Chamber has responded to the needs of the business community and promoted Needles in the tourism industry.
We will kick off the Chamber Centennial Celebration with a series of “SPEAK OUTS” on Radio Central’s station KJJJ, a total of 4 interview shows for local listeners. Radio Central is the Official Centennial Media Partner with the Chamber. Each show’s topic will be about the Chamber’s 100 year history. Radio Central will be on board throughout the season of celebration and will also bring you future events as COVID-19 permits. The “Speak Outs” will be scheduled as follows:
September 15 @ 11:30 am Candace Martinez, Needles Chamber Administration
September 25 @ 10 am Jan and Needles Mayor Ed Paget
October 12 @ 11 am Lyn Parker, Chamber Board of Directors
October 20 @ 10 am Ivan Lofstrom, Chamber Board of Directors
Tune in on those days for interesting discussions about how the Needles Chamber of Commerce grew to be 100 years old !
DRAWINGS DURING EACH SHOW
During each Speak Out Show, the Chamber will draw prize winners from its membership base, so if you are a member of the Needles Chamber of Commerce, your name will be in the drawing! Be sure to listen and see if your business name is drawn.
