LAS VEGAS - The Bureau of Land Management Las Vegas Field Office approved the application submitted by InterConnect Towers, LLC to construct and operate a wireless broadband communication facility along State Route 163. The multi-user communication facility will improve and expand coverage and strengthen the existing communication network capacity along portions of State Route 163 and will also be capable of serving radio and two-way radio communications for emergency services.

“We appreciate the public involvement and feedback on the draft environmental assessment during the comment period in Fall 2023,” said BLM Las Vegas Acting Field Manager Coreen Francis. “We incorporated the feedback into the Final Environmental Assessment and will now offer a right-of-way to InterConnect Towers.”

During the comment period, BLM received six comment submissions. A synopsis of the public comments and responses to substantive comments can be found in Appendix G of the document.
