20TH ANNUAL COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS FINALISTS ANNOUNCED!
 
The Laughlin Chamber of Commerce proudly announces that our diverse and dedicated volunteer judges have selected the finalists for the 20th annual Community Achievement Awards, to be held at the Aquarius Casino Resort on October 7th.
 
Citizen of the Year: Mike Conner, Billy Kay, Ramona McEntire, and Charles Sherill
 
Connie Davis Youth Citizen of the Year: Michelle Martinez (Laughlin High School), Lori Morgon (Laughlin High School), Jeremy Queen (River Valley High School), and John Lambert (River Valley High School)
 
Educator of the Year: Kate Hall (Desert Valley Elementary School), Brenda Jackson (River Valley High School), Jonathan Moss (Mohave Accelerated Learning Center), and Gary Patrick (Laughlin High School)
 
Tourism: Brea and Trevor Chiodini (Laughlin River Tours, London Bridge Jet Boat Tours, Rocky River Adventures), Trina Ewing (Edgewater/Colorado Belle), Jan Kassies (Lake Havasu City Convention & Visitors Bureau), and Mark and Denise Villalovos (Run Laughlin)

Congratulations to everyone that was nominated; you’re all outstanding members of our Colorado River Region. Those listed here will receive a congratulatory letter and a phone call to schedule an in-person interview with the judging panel as well as a portrait for individual nominees.
