We have assembled an assortment of paintings from several significant epochs in art history. Within our gallery, we provide information about world renowned paintings like Corot’s ‘Barbizon Wood’, Renoir’s ‘Fish’, Modigliani’s ‘Portrait Mis Maria’ and Van Gogh’s ‘Self Portrait’. We also include information on how they developed their technique and how their most definitive works of art came to be. For example, did you know that Van Gogh's time in the south of France greatly influenced his paintings is what inspired him to paint his famous art series of sunflowers. Learn more about the fascinating history of arms and weaponry

After you are done perusing our art collection, be sure to visit our collection of arms and armor. Beyond just looking at the intricate and ornate details of some of these weapons, you will be able to learn about the history of various pistols, who owned them, who shot them and who designed them. Moreover you will discover many of the histories behind the companies that manufactured guns like Smith & Wesson, Colt and Simpson.

In terms of our virtual
weaponry collection,
you can find guns dating all the way from the 17th century.

COLT Engraved Presentation Model 1849 Pocket Revolver

Our collection at Moonbeam Gallery is vast and diverse. We showcase rare and unique vintage pieces like the 17th century Flintlock Pistol, an 18th century Spanish Miquelet Blunderbuss Belt Pistol and a Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver. We also showcase more modern pistols like the Michael Dubber engraved Colt from 2014. We offer fine detailed images of these weapons with descriptions of how they were made and with what materials.

Ludwig Loewe Copy of S&W

For example, in our collection we showcase the Ludwig Loewe Copy of a Smith & Wesson. This gun was designed by Russian military attache General Alexander Gorloff who was presented this weapon by S&M themselves. However, he requested several changes. Afterwards, Duke Alexandrovich went to the S&M factory and was fascinated by this weapon and took it on a hunting trip with Buffalo Bill. The copy of this pistol is identical to one currently housed at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg and the personal Estate of Prince Alexander I of Bulgaria.

These stories are not only interesting for weaponry history buffs, but also for people who love to examine the artistry behind many of these arms and armors.
